THE CLOCKWORK BOY to Premiere at 2016 Thespis Theater Festival

THE CLOCKWORK BOY, a new play by Matt Tiemstra, will receive its New York premiere in the 2016 Thespis Theater Festival at the Hudson Guild Theater. The show follows a young android named Jeremy as he desperately tries to solve the mystery of his own existence among humans. Performances will begin September 20th at 9:00 p.m. at the Hudson Guild Theater on 441 West 26th Street. Emily Garrison directs the production.

Fab Marquee's MACBETH (OF THE OPPRESSED) Opens Tonight at The 14th Street Y

Fab Marquee Productions in association with The Theater Series at The 14th Street Y presents the LGBT multicultural production of William Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, adapted and directed by Tom Slot. MACBETH (OF THE OPPRESSED), playing a three-week limited engagement at The Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street at 1st Avenue, Manhattan). Performances continue through Saturday, October 24th. Opening Night is tonight, October 10th at 8 p.m.

Fab Marquee Productions in association with The Theater Series at The 14th Street Y is pleased to announce the cast for the LGBT multicultural production of William Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, adapted and directed by Tom Slot. MACBETH (OF THE OPPRESSED) will play a three-week limited engagement at The Theater at the 14th Street Y   (344 East 14th Street at 1st Avenue, Manhattan). Performances begin Thursday, October 8th and continue through Saturday, October 24th. Opening Night is Saturday, October 10th at 8 p.m.

The GAY PLAY SERIES Returns to Ferndale, MI for the 6th Fabulous Year!

The Ringwald Theatre is thrilled to announce the 6th installment of its wildly popular Gay Play Series (GPS) and this year things are getting a remix as The Ringwald replaces its traditional One Act Play festival with a collection of mash-ups which will intertwine a variety of movies and music artists to create The Ringwald's Big Gay Mash-Up (for example:  My Fair Lady Gaga). The festival will also include a screening of gay TV classics.

YELLOWMAN, Readings, Film Festival Event & More Set for Performance Network This Month

Though it is the shortest month of the year, it is a busy one at Performance Network. For starters, the second slot in the 2014­2015 season, the powerful yet heartwarming 'Yellowman,' will close February 15 after rave reviews from critics and patrons alike. On February 17, the free class demonstration that was originally scheduled for February 2, will take place at 7:30pm. The Wednesday Night Concert Series, now known as the Open Table Series, will have two readings on February 11 and 25, and then on February 18, the Arts Alliance will present a Creative Connections event at the Network from 5pm to 7pm featuring the Ann Arbor Film Festival.

YELLOWMAN Begins Next Month at Performance Network Theatre

From January 15­ February 15, 2015, patrons of Performance Network will experience the thought­provoking, tragic yet heartwarming love story "Yellowman" written by Dael Orlandersmith and directed by Lynch Travis. Performances run Thursday­ Sunday (Preview is Thursday, January 15 and Opening Night is Friday, January 16). Tickets range in price from $25­$41. The Big Intimacy Group to Present AUTOBAHN, 3/14-16

The Big Intimacy Group will kick off what's sure to be a long and an exciting relationship with the people of New York with Autobahn. Labute's provocative collection of one-act plays explores perception and relationship-from a make-out session gone awry to a kidnapping disguised as a road trip-resulting in an unsettling montage that gradually reveals the delicate interplay between intention and morality.

In Tandem Theatre Announces Holiday Shows

In Tandem Theatre will present two hysterical holiday shows this season: the wildly popular musical comedy, A Cudahy Caroler Christmas by Anthony Wood, (November 29, 2013 - January 5, 2014) and the delightfully dark holiday comedy, The Eight: Reindeer Monologues by Jeff Goode, (two special performances only Mondays, December 9 and 16, 2013). Both shows will be presented at the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th Street, Milwaukee.

The New Theatre Project Extends WOYZECK thru 11/10

The New Theatre Project has announced an extension of Halloween festivities and its hugely successful adaptation of Woyzeck. Woyzeck will play four additional performances on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10 with shows on both nights at 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm.
