The second and final production this summer of The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot will be 'Julius Caesar,' directed by Hamilton Clancy (Artistic Director) July 29 to August 14. In an unusual adaptation, Shakespeare's drama about the nature of ambition and politics is set in a contemporary urban school system.

From August 8 to September 5, 2010, Theater for the New City (TNC), under the direction of Crystal Field, Artistic Director, will present its first 'Dream Up Festival,' a theater festival of plays from artists across the country and abroad. It is curated by the theater's Literary Manager, Michael Scott-Price.

The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot will open its 2010 season with 'Love's Labours Lost,' directed by Kathy Curtis, July 8 to 24. The season will also include 'Julius Caesar,' directed by Hamilton Clancy, July 29 to August 14. This is the 19th consecutive year for Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot, a favorite New York summertime cultural treat that is performed free in a municipal parking lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets, Manhattan.

Theater for the New City (155 First Ave. at East 10th St.) presents MY BOYFRIEND IS A ZOMBIE from June 3rd to the 27th. This piece sports thirteen original numbers written by the team of William Electric Black and Gary Schreiner, both Emmy-winners. There's an ensemble of ten actors and a three-piece live band. Book, lyrics and direction are by William Electric Black.

'Red Mother,' featuring the celebrated Muriel Miguel, co-founder of Obie-award-winning Spiderwoman Theater collective, will be presented by La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club Thursdays through Sundays from May 27 to June 6.
