SHEAR MADNESS Celebrates Its 500th Performance Thursday

Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are excited to announce that SHEAR MADNESS will celebrate its 500th performance as New York's favorite comedy whodunit on Thursday January 26th. 

SHEAR MADNESS to Start Second Year of Hilarious Styling Off-Broadway This Fall

Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, have announced that SHEAR MADNESS will begin its second year as New York's favorite comedy whodunit on Friday, November 11th. 

Cady Huffman to Depart SHEAR MADNESS This Month; Tickets Now on Sale thru Jan 8

Just announced, Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Cady Huffman will end her run in Off-Broadway's Shear Madness on August 21st. Cady assumed the role of Mrs. Shubert June 20th. She will be replaced by Lisa McMillan. Also joining the cast is Gil Brady replacing Adam Gerber in the role of Eddie Lawrence. The producers are have also announced a new batch of tickets on sale through January 8th, 2017.

Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are proud to welcome Celeste Oliva to the cast of SHEAR MADNESS.  She replaces Kate Middleton in the role of Barbara beginning tonight (Wednesday July 20th), joining Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman along with Jordan Ahnquist, Adam Gerber,  Patrick Noonan, and Jonathan Randell Silver.

Also joining the cast tonight will be Jonathan Randell Silver, most recently seen in Please Continue at Ensemble Studio Theatre, who will assume the role of Mike Thomas.

Cady will assume the role of Mrs. Shubert, originated by Lynne Wintersteller. Also joining the cast that day will be Jonathan Randell Silver, most recently seen in Please Continue at Ensemble Studio Theatre, who will assume the role of Mike Thomas, currently played by Ethan Dubin.

Ensemble Studio Theatre Sets Spring 2016 Season

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE has announced the continuation of the EST 2015-2016 season. PLEASE CONTINUE by Frank Basloe, directed by William Carden, and presented in association with The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, will begin performances on February 3, 2016 and officially opens Thursday February 11, for a limited run through February 28, 2016. EST, in association with The Radio Drama Network, and Page 73 Productions will present the world premiere of KENTUCKY, by Leah Nanako Winkler, directed by Morgan Gould, which will begin performances in April for a limited run. Both productions will take place at EST's Curt Dempster Theatre (549 W. 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019).

This month marks the 100th Anniversary of the Marx Brothers debut in Vaudeville - which coincides with The Denver Center Theatre Company's hit revival of Animal Crackers, running now through May 11th! The Marx Brothers starred in the original Broadway production of Animal Crackers when it opened in 1928.
