TONIGHT: Celeste Oliva Joins The Cast of SHEAR MADNESS
Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, Michael Guccione, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, are proud to welcome Celeste Oliva to the cast of SHEAR MADNESS. She replaces Kate Middleton in the role of Barbara beginning tonight (Wednesday July 20th), joining Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman along with Jordan Ahnquist, Adam Gerber, Patrick Noonan, and Jonathan Randell Silver.
The hit comedy whodunit Shear Madness has recently re-located the salon to the Davenport Theatre, 354 West 45th Street, in the heart of Broadway.
Celeste Oliva is making her NYC debut as Barbara DeMarco, a role she has played in the original Boston production. Celeste was most recently seen in Nora Theatre's production of Arcadia (Hannah Jarvis). Other favorite roles include The Pilot in Grounded (Elliot Norton nomination, IRNE nomination), Xi Yan in Chinglish (IRNE Award, Elliot Norton nomination), Becky in Becky' s New Car and Hanna(h) in Reconsidering Hanna(h). Look for her in two upcoming films Bleed for This with Miles Teller and November Criminals with Chloe Grace and Ansel Elgort. She will also be shooting the feature East of Hollywood, a mockumentary illuminating the perils of an Asian actor and the casting process.
Shear Madness is America's hilarious whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. Set in a local hair salon that turns into a wacky murder scene, the play is filled with up-to-the-minute humor and is different every time you see it! Bruce Jordan directs.
Performances are Monday at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Thursday & Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm.
