Chocolate Factory Productions present a production of Anthony Rapp -WITHOUT YOU, based on Anthony Rapp's bestseller Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent, beginning performances in Boston today, June 19th. The show, which is directed by Steve Maler, will continue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August and London's Menier Chocolate Factory until Septemeber 15.

ATC's RENT, Directed by David Cromer, Will Close June 24

American Theater Company's (ATC) production of Jonathan Larson's, Rent, directed by David Cromer must close Sunday, June 24. The production, now playing at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago, IL, played for 6 weeks and enjoyed an extension. Anthony Fedorov and Natalie Wachen join the cast of Rent in the roles of Roger and Mimi beginning on Wednesday, July 11. Shaleah Adkisson took over the role of Joanne on June 11.

Happy Birthday, Neil Patrick Harris! A veteran of the theater, Harris recently tackled the role of Bobby in the New York Philharmonic's production of Stephen Sondheim's "Company" at Lincoln Center. Harris made his Broadway debut in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Proof," and subsequently starred on the Great White Way as the Emcee in "Cabaret," and as The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of "Assassins." His additional theater credits include roles in "All My Sons," "Tick, Tick... Boom," "The Paris Letter," "Sweeney Todd," "Rent" and "Romeo and Juliet." Harris made his theatrical directorial debut with "I Am Grock" at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. Additionally, he directed a production of Jonathan Larson's "Rent" at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and more recently he helmed a production of "The Expert at the Card Table" at the Broad Stage Theater.

Guest performers will include Nancy Anderson, Jeremy Schonfeld, Chris Critelli, Desmond Dutcher, Jeannine Frumess, Andy Monroe, Lucas Steele, and Karen Ziemba. A cast of Seattle's young rising theater stars, featuring Daniel Berryman, Aaron C. Finley, Naomi Morgan, Jerick Hoffer, Ryah Nixon, and Andi Alhadeff will take center stage, belting hits including "La Vie Boheme," "Take Me or Leave Me," "One Song Glory," and "Rent." Based on the Puccini opera La boheme, the hit musical premiered in 1996 to instant acclaim, and swept a host of theater awards - the Tony, the Obie, and the Pulitzer.
