Westport Country Playhouse Radio Theater, a free-of-charge broadcast series, in partnership with WSHU Public Radio, will present the new audio play combining humor and suspense, “Special Delivery,” on Saturday, July 10, at 1:06 p.m. (following a news update at top of the hour), with a rebroadcast on Sunday, July 11, at 4:06 p.m.

Like Elton John finding Bernie Taupin at the right moment, these two paths crossing would launch a strong and lasting songwriting partnership that culminates in today’s release of VAN DYKE’s debut solo EP, THE MAYOR.

CampYATC Teacher Megan Hilty says, “The only thing I don’t like about YATC, is it wasn’t around when I was a teenager!” Having returned to YATC numerous times, working professionals like Hilty acting as Summer Camp Master Class teachers is just one of the things that sets this summer camp apart from many others. Hilty is just one of the amazing guest faculty teaching in the 20th Anniversary Season of The Young Actors’ Theatre Camp. The luckiest campers in the world will also get to learn from Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice), Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls), Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Laurie Metcalf (The Conners) and many more!

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand play reading of the comedy, “The Savannah Disputation,” filmed on the Playhouse stage and broadcast virtually, premiering Monday, June 14, at 7 p.m., and streaming on-demand from Tuesday, June 15 through Sunday, June 20.

As entertaining and cathartic it can be to poke fun at 'Glee,' we should also take the time to recognize its successes-especially those we missed the first time around. And what better occasion to do so than around the anniversary of the airing of the pilot?

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have just announced that Tony Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, American Son) will finally be able to take the stage as Seymour, alongside original cast members Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard (Life with Judy Garland, Gypsy) as Audrey and two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!, Falsettos) as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.. 

Producers of the Off-Broadway production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s landmark musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have announced that the 2020 Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk Award-winning Best Musical Revival will reopen on Tuesday, September 21 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street).

Now running over five weeks in either a hybrid in-person/remote format or remote only, this rigorous introductory program challenges students to embody Atlantic’s acting technique, Practical Aesthetics – as outlined in A Practical Handbook for the Actor. Students will be instructed in a disciplined approach in these courses: Script Analysis, Moment Lab, Performance Technique, and Voice.

Two-Up Productions is back with another unprecedented project: the first feature-length dramatic podcast, Shipworm. Set to release on April 26th, Shipworm is a first of its kind feature-length dramatic podcast. While most scripted podcasts are serialized or episodic series, Shipworm will be released as a one-off audio movie.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a virtual Script in Hand playreading of “Rent Control,” the Off-Broadway hit comedy based on the true story of a struggling-to-survive actor in New York City who invents a moneymaking scheme that backfires.
