MASTER WORKS: THE DEGAS PLAYS Comes to Commedia Beauregard, 5/29-6/1

Commedia Beauregard, a Chicago-based theatre company, announces the publication of three play collections as part of its Master Works short play festival. This is the seventh time that Commedia Beauregard has held the festival, which translates paintings to the stage, but the first time the plays will be available in print. The new scripts include works based on the paintings of Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Degas. This year's offering, Master Works: The Degas Plays will also be performed at the Den Theatre for one weekend only -- May 29th through June 1st, 2014. Shows are scheduled for Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

Design, Construction Teams Announced for Rockaway Boardwalk Rebuilding

NYC Parks Commissioner Veronica M. White and NYC Economic Development Corporation President Kyle Kimball today announced that CH2M HILL has been officially awarded the contract to oversee the design of the new Rockaway boardwalk and Skanska has been selected to manage the boardwalk's construction. This follows a historic first phase of recovery in which more than 500,000 hours were invested repairing and restoring New York City's beaches.

The Laurie Beechman theatre was filled to capacity on Monday, November 4th for the Emerson College BFA Showcase featuring the BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre Class of 2013. Industry professionals hoping to find new cast members for their next projects and Emerson Alumni showed up to support and welcome the talented group to show business.
