Cape May Stage to Present Jacob Marley's CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/29-12/29

Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol will run from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 29 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse located in downtown Cape May on the corner of Lafayette and Bank Streets. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 seniors (62+) and $15 students. There is no half-price preview performance for this production; the official opening night will be Friday, November 29. A special half-price senior matinee will take place on Sunday, December 8 and there will be a special "pay-what-you-can" matinee at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 14. Center Stage's ANIMAL CRACKERS Opens Tonight

Tonight Center Stage officially kicks off the 2013-14 Season with the Opening Night of Animal Crackers, the classic toe-tapping, knee-slapping Marx Brothers musical. Under the direction of BJ Jones, Animal Crackers will run through October 13.

National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene Announces 99th Season

National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene, Executive Director Bryna Wasserman and Artistic Director Zalmen Mlotek, will present a multitude of theater and music events for its 99th season including the American premiere of the tender coming-of-age musical adapted from the 1975 Academy-Award-nominated and Golden-Globe-Award-winning film Lies My Father Told, November 10 through December 15, and the return by popular demand of The Megile Of Itzik Manger, March 2 through 16.

Bruce Nelson, Brad Aldous & More to Lead Center Stage's ANIMAL CRACKERS; Full Cast Announced

Rehearsals began Tuesday for Animal Crackers, the first production of Center Stage's 2013-14 Season. This classic American musical comedy is set to feature City Paper Best Actor Bruce Nelson as Groucho Marx playing the ineffable Captain Spaulding. Under the direction of Northlight Theatre Artistic Director BJ Jones-who previously directed Center Stage's smash production of A Skull in Connemara-Animal Crackers begins previews on September 4 and runs through October 13.

Playing Off-Broadway for a four-week limited engagement from tonight, April 21 to May 12, the eye-popping purimshpiel carnival musical is directed by Motl Didner, with music direction by Zalmen Mlotek. The opening, sponsored by the Boston Beer Company, is set for Thursday April 25 at 7:30pm.
