Marianne Elliot's acclaimed revival of Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY will get a physical cast recording release today!

Today (Tuesday 5 March), actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Jason Manford.

At a ceremony tonight at the Prince of Wales Theatre hosted by Vicky Vox and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, the winners of the 19th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards were announced - the only major theatre awards decided entirely by the theatregoers themselves.

The Stephen Sondheim-themed episode of Documentary Now!, parodying D.A. Pennebaker's classic making-of Company documentary, aired last night! The episode, titled 'Original Cast Album: Co-Op,' can be watched in full here!

Last night's performance of Company in London encountered quite a hiccup when the set broke down and a cover performer took ill. Patti LuPone brought her show-must-go-on spirit to the audience and performed a quick number.

Closing in on 50 years since its Broadway debut, George Furth and Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY returns with a revolutionary new production in the West End. This rendition sees the previously male lead role Bobby now as the female Bobbie, portrayed by Rosalie Craig. This gender-swap is thanks to the direction of Marianne Elliott, who worked side by side with Sondheim on the revamping. The COMPANY 2018 London Cast Recording was recorded at RAK Studios in London.  As previously reported, footage of the cast recording was preserved for a forthcoming documentary on the production.

The digital download and streaming release of COMPANY - 2018 London Cast Recording for, are available Friday, 1st February 2019.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, a cast recording is in the works for Marianne Elliott's gender-bending production of Company, which is currently running in the West End at the Gielgud Theatre. The album will officially arrive digitally on February 1, 2019!

Leading specialist theatre publisher Nick Hern Books is to publish the script of the acclaimed gender-swapped version of Company by Stephen Sondheim and Goerge Furth, alongside the current West End production.

On January 10, Theatre publisher Nick Hern Books will release an updated version of the libretto for Company. This edition features the complete revised book from the current gender-swapped West End version of the show, color production photographs, and an introduction by Sondheim's biographer David Benedict.

Bobbie, come on over to Broadway! As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Marianne Elliott's gender-bending production of Company, which is currently running in the West End at the Gielgud Theatre, will open on Broadway in fall 2019, According to the New York Post. Michael Riedel reports that the transfer will be led by London stars Rosalie Craig and Patti LuPone.
