The Winter Park Playhouse, in their one-night only series, will toast The Rat Pack era when Mark Raisch presents his tribute show Ultimate Sinatra - Tribute to the Crooners on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Net proceeds will go to support the quality musical programming on The Playhouse Mainstage and out in the community.

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will come to Detroit from September 3-15, 2019 as part of a multi-season North American tour. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF) honors the great French composer Michel Legrand, who died in January this year, with a special Cin Salon series devoted to his life and work. Curated by one of his longtime collaborators and greatest interpreters, singer and actress Melissa Errico, Summer of Michel Legrand brings together seven of his films from his best known triumphs such as The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort to lesser known gems such as the enchanting fairy-tale musical Donkey Skin. Screenings take place on Tuesdays in July at 4pm and 7:30pm in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.

The Blast reports that Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson may release competing new songs for the upcoming CATS film.

For her 4th CD release, vocalist/violinist Calabria Foti wanted to do an album like her vocal heroes Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, and Nat “King” Cole did back in the day; that is, with a big orchestra and legendary arrangers on the podium in an iconic Hollywood recording studio. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts announced today that for its 10th Denver engagement, the 2019 North American Tour of CATS has broken the box office record for the highest-gross of an eight-performance engagement at The Buell Theatre. The production grossed $1,724,149.75 during the show's April 24-28, 2019 engagement, creating an estimated economic impact of more than $6.2 million to Denver from travel, hotels, restaurants, parking and other businesses patronized by both theatergoers and production staff. This figure is based upon a Broadway League report which found that, on average, when a Broadway show is in a city, it contributes an economic impact of roughly 3.6 times the gross ticket sales to the local metropolitan area's economy.
