The answer to last year's question of whether the digital arts venture STAGE RAW could bring back its awards ceremony celebrating the best of LA's up-to-99-seat theaters, the answer is YES. STAGE RAW is pleased to announce the SECOND ANNUAL STAGE RAW LOS ANGELES THEATER AWARDS, championing the best work of 2015 in L.A.'s still-embattled theaters of up to 99-seats.

In its first production following a hit Off-Broadway run, Jesse Eisenberg's THE REVISIONIST will receive its West Coast debut at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in a new production directed by Robin Larsen. Leading the cast is Tony Award-winning star of August: Osage County Deanna Dunagan, Seamus Mulcahy and Ilia Volok. Previews begin in the Lovelace Studio Theater on Tuesday, March 29. Opening Night is Friday, April 1.

The cast is set and rehearsals are underway for the West Coast premiere of Sheila Callaghan's madcap new play WOMEN LAUGHING ALONE WITH SALAD, opening March 13, 2016, at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. Directed by Neel Keller and choreographed by Ken Roht, previews for WOMEN LAUGHING ALONE WITH SALAD begin March 6 and performances continue through April 3, 2016. The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2015 (Dec. 1, 2014 - Nov. 30, 2015).

Greenway Court Theatre Presents the World Premiere of SWARM CELL, written by Gabriel Rivas Gomez (Chasing Monsters, Scar Tissue, Thisability), directed by Robert Castro (Se Llama Cristina, Before the Revolution). Written by Gabriel Rivas Gomez, with contributions from Los Angeles' Fairfax High School. Inspired by John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, SWARM CELL asserts a brave new world of womanhood and Identity. Twenty-five years into the future, in desperate need of shelter, a pair of homeless women discover themselves forging an unlikely alliance. In an economy turned on its head, the duo - one deaf, the other pregnant and undocumented - find work in a questionable warehouse intent on preying upon its roustabouts. This cohort of migrants are conditioned to believe the commodities they package hold more value than their own lives. Devising a hive may be their only hope for survival. Are you a queen or one of the worker bees?

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that WHAT HAPPENED WHEN, a workshop production written and directed by Daniel Talbott, will play for one week begining tonight, December 15, at 7pm. Produced in association with {Your Name Here}, the workshop will play Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place).

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that WHAT HAPPENED WHEN, a workshop production written and directed by Daniel Talbott, will play for one week begining Tuesday, December 15, at 7pm.

The company also celebrates the formation of an Artistic Advisory Board that includes luminaries in the fields of theater, fine art, and fiction: Jack Pierson (Chairman), David Anzuelo, Susan Batson, Michael Cunningham, Craig Lucas, and Lucy Thurber. Judy Bowman, {YOUR NAME HERE}'s company casting director, will serve as president of the Board of Directors.
