There comes a moment in the current revival of Oklahoma! (now onstage at Cumberland County Playhouse through September 2) when Jason Ross, the actor playing peddler Ali Hakim comes onstage and action stops for a thundering ovation from the audience. Yep, Jason Ross is so popular with Playhouse audiences that he gets entrance applause - a sure sign that an actor has been doing something right so far as the audience is concerned. Sure, they love other Playhouse veterans just as much, but to say that Jason Ross is beloved by audiences is not, by any stretch of the imagination, hyperbole.

5th Floor Productions will revive the musical Assassins for a limited run at the Hudson Guild Theatre in Chelsea. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman, Assassins will open June 22nd for six performances through June 26th.

Acoustiguides are available in adult and youth (age 8-12) versions and may be reserved through Ticketmaster when purchasing advance timed-entry tickets. Additionally, daytime performances of the one-act play 'One Destiny' by Richard Hellesen will resume April 4-May 21. Ford's Theatre presents evening performances of 'One Destiny' June 14-July 2, 2011. Part of the History on Stage series, the 30-minute 'One Destiny' presentation captures the first-hand accounts of those present at Ford's Theatre the day of Lincoln's assassination.

Now, Trustus Theatre is bringing the award-winning revival of Assassins to the Capital City with an unprecedented cast and crew in tow. Assassins will begin knocking audiences dead on March 25th at 8:00pm on the Trustus Main Stage, and the production will run through April 16th, 2011.

Twenty-five years after the assassination of President Lincoln, a traveling group of actors and singers tells tales of the Civil War and our nation's struggle to remain together.
