HITLAB Inc. ('Hitlab'), in partnership with The Recording Academy, has announced Jade Novah of Cleveland, Ohio as the winner of its Emerging Artist Competition following the submission of original music to the contest's web page (www.hitlab.com). The competition launched Nov. 12, 2012, and was designed to provide up-and-coming artists and bands the chance to perform at an official GRAMMY Week event.

Former St. Louisan Ruthe Ponturo stars in DIVORCE THE MUSICAL: BETTER MAD THAN SAD in New York City, along with Parkway Central alum Emily Peterson and Lindsay Naas. Parkway Central alum Dana Wilson is also part of the cast. The workshop production opens Sept. 28 and was co-written and produced by Ponturo.

Following her holiday show in Provincetown last Christmas, and her debut at the Laurie Beechman Theater in New York City this past February, David Drake's newest theatrical creation Tawny Heatherton will bring her blonde-swept brand of cheer back to the tip of the Cape for her very first summer-long engagement - with the premiere of TAWNY, TELL ME TRUE at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA. With onstage musical direction by John Thomas, TAWNY, TELL ME TRUE opens tonight, June 17th and performs every Sunday at 10PM thru Sept 2nd in the Crown Cabaret Room of the Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial Street. The Irish Rep today announced its next two shows, Beyond the Horizon by Eugene O'Neill and Give Me Your Hand by Paul Durcan.

Though Eugene O'Neill was a grownup thirty-one years of age when Beyond The Horizon, his first full length play, opened on Broadway in 1920, the landmark domestic drama is boiling over with so much youthful angst you might expect its trio of lovers to start whipping out microphones to belt out emo rock numbers.
