As BroadwayWorld reported earlier today, seven-time Tony Award nominee and winner for Broadway's THE SCHOOL FOR WIVES Brian Bedford passed away today, January 13. He was 80 years old.

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of David Rush's Nureyev's Eyes, which runs February 2 through February 21 at the New Brunswick theatre.  Bill Dawes will portray Russian defector and star of ballet and screen, Rudolf Nureyev; William Connell will play painter Jamie Wyeth, the son of famed artist Andrew Wyeth and grandson of illustrator N.C. Wyeth. The production will be helmed by George Street Playhouse Resident Artistic Director Michael Mastro.

When the dust settled and the votes werecounted, two very different films led the way as the Washington, D.C. Area FilmCritics Association (WAFCA) announced their honorees for 2015 this morning

Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards, the LA Film Festival and Film Independent at LACMA, announced nominations for the 2016 Spirit Awards this morning. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at W Hollywood, with actors John Boyega and Elizabeth Olsen presenting the nominations. Nominees for Best Feature included Anomalisa, Beasts of No Nation, Carol, Spotlight and Tangerine.

Tom McCarthy's SPOTLIGHT dramatizes the Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe investigation that began with one 'bad apple' priest and led to the discovery of a massive, decades-long institutional cover-up of countless sexual abuse allegations in the Boston archdiocese. SPOTLIGHT is well directed, acted, and edited. It's not to be missed.

John Slattery portrays real-life newspaper editor Ben Bradlee Jr. in the new film "Spotlight," the true story of journalists who uncovered the child abuse scandal in the Catholic archdiocese of Boston.

Howe Records is proud to announce the release of the soundtrack for Director Tom McCarthy's film SPOTLIGHT, available digitally, on Nov. 6, and physically on November 13, 2015.

As previously announced, the Kennedy Center will present a Barbican and Les Theatres de la Ville de Luxembourg, in association with Toneelgroep Amsterdam, production of ANTIGONE by Sophocles, in a new translation by T.S. Eliot Prize-winning poet Anne Carson from tonight, October 22, through October 25, 2015 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater.
