Gurney's "Love & Money," a new comedy exploring the trials of class, family, legacy, and race, directed by Mark Lamos, from July 21 through August 8. Westport Country Playhouse's world premiere musical revue, "Sing for Your Shakespeare," playing June 3 - 22, will feature a six-member cast of Broadway talents: Karen Akers, Britney Coleman, Darius de Haas, Stephen DeRosa, Constantine Germanacos, and Laurie Wells. With selections from Cole Porter's "Kiss Me, Kate," Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's "West Side Story," and Rodgers and Hart's "The Boys from Syracuse," as well as numbers by Duke Ellington, Frank Loesser, and others, the production explores how the American Songbook has been inspired for decades by Shakespeare's works.

To kick off its production of the show business farce "Room Service," Westport Country Playhouse will host a free film screening of another backstage comedy, "Bullets Over Broadway," directed by Woody Allen, on Sunday, October 6, 4 p.m., in the Playhouse's Sheffer Studio. The screening is free-of-charge by reservation through the Playhouse box office at 203-227-4177. Free popcorn and beverages will be available.

A 25th anniversary production of the imaginative, fractured-fairy tale musical "Into the Woods" by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim will be staged at the theater where Sondheim was an apprentice in 1950, Westport Country Playhouse, in Westport, CT, May 1 through May 26. Directed by Mark Lamos, the Playhouse's artistic director, the musical will open the historic theater's 82nd season. It is co-produced with Baltimore's CENTERSTAGE.
