THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME Comes to MCCC's Kelsey Theatre, Today

It's 1482 Paris and life is dark and difficult. The gypsies who occupy the edges of society are in a constant struggle with city officials and the soldiers charged with protecting the citizenry. Thus begins The Hunchback of Notre Dame, an epic tale set to a sweeping musical score, to be presented by The Pennington Players at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre. Dates and show times are Todays, Oct. 20 and 27 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Oct. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m.

Baltimore Museum of Art Announces Speaker Series, Kicking Off with Mark Bradford

On Saturday, November 11, The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) is launching a series of free creative conversations and social events that brings together nationally recognized artists, writers, and thought-leaders to consider key ideas at the intersection of art, race, and social justice and imagining the futures we want. The Necessity of Tomorrow(s) speaker series will kick off with a conversation between acclaimed artist Mark Bradford and BMA Dorothy Wagner Wallis Director Christopher Bedford, who most recently collaborated on the BMA's presentation of the U.S. Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale. Drawing on themes explored in Bradford's installation, Tomorrow Is Another Day, their conversation will focus on the topic of making a path to power where none has existed before, a theme often explored in Bradford's work.

Tomorrow  Is Another Day, featuring new work by Mark Bradford, is presented by the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, at La Biennale di Venezia 57th International Art Exhibition.

Theater To Go Takes on Racial Injustice and Acts of Courage in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD

It's a coming of age story set against a backdrop of racism and small town secrets. Theater to Go presents "To Kill a Mockingbird" at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, March 17 and 24 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, March 18 and 25 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, March 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on March 17.

Monarchs and aristocrats of the 18th and 19th centuries were of abiding interest to David Roche - and this exhibition reflects his passion for selecting items of exceptional quality to add to his collection. 

U.S. Pavilion Features New Work by Mark Bradford and Collaboration with Rio Terà dei Pensieri

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, will present Mark Bradford as the representative for the United States at La Biennale di Venezia 57th International Art Exhibition, on view from May 13 to November 26, 2017. Los Angeles-based Bradford, a leading light in contemporary art, will create new works in a variety of media-presented alongside existing work-for Tomorrow Is Another Day, co-curated by Christopher Bedford, BMA Dorothy Wagner Wallis Director and commissioner for the project; and Katy Siegel, BMA Senior Programming and Research Curator.

Theater To Go to Present Staged Reading of THE TRIAL OF ABRAHAM HUNT: AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS STORY 12/28

Theater to go has joined the lineup of events for  Trenton Patriots Week 2016, occurring between December 26-31.  A staged reading in costume of a new play entitled The Trial of Abraham Hunt: An American Christmas Story by Michael Davis, under the direction of Ruth Markoe, will be presented on Weds. Dec 28 at the 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing, the region's Historic Haven for Arts and Culture.
