The National Theatre announces new information, and recaps its upcoming season.

Following critical acclaim, and a sold-out run at the Young Vic, producers Sonia Friedman Productions, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold are delighted to announce the full cast for the West End transfer of Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson's The Jungle, a National Theatre and Young Vic co-production with Good Chance Theatre,directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. The production is set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp, the Calais Jungle, which in 2015, became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people.  Previewing from 16 June, with World Refugee Day on 20 June, The Jungle will have an Opening Night on 5 July at the Playhouse Theatre, with rehearsal photography released today. Previewing from 16 June, The Jungle will have an Opening Night on 5 July at the Playhouse Theatre. The first wave of tickets will go on general sale on 15 March.

The National Theatre will mark the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales by staging its first Queer Theatre event series from 6 - 10 July 2017. 

This seems to be the year of Twelfth Night, with the National Theatre's production recently closing and several other touring companies taking it on. But what better place to bring it to life than the Globe, in Emma Rice's 'Summer of Love'? It now plays alongside Daniel Kramer's Romeo and Juliet, making it the first of Shakespeare's comedies being performed there this season.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce casting for Romeo and Juliet directed by Daniel Kramer, and Twelfth Night directed by Emma Rice.

Devised by the Companies, based on the works of JM Barrie Previews from 16 November, Press Night 23 November, final performance 4 February.  Sophie Thompson has had to withdraw from the cast of Peter Pan, the National Theatre's Christmas show, due to a broken wrist. Anna Francolini, last seen at the NT in wonder.land, will take over the role of Captain Hook/ Mrs Darling. The NT is delighted that Anna was available to step into the role, and wishes Sophie a speedy recovery. 

Ruth Wilson takes the title role in HEDDA GABLER in a new version by Patrick Marber, directed by Ivo van Hove, in the new National Theatre season. The production previews from 5 December.

Written by Told by an Idiot, music by Iain Johnstone, lyrics by Simon Armitage, directed by Paul Hunter, designed by Laura Hopkins, sound by Adrienne Quartly and lighting by Paul Anderson. I Am Thomas, opens at Wilton's Music Hall on the 20th April and runs til the 30th April. Press night 21st April, 7.30pm.
