The Spare Stage production of Lee Blessing's A Body of Water - a Bay Area premiere - opens November 6 and runs through November 22 at EXIT Theatre in San Francisco, with Spare Stage Artistic Director Stephen Drewes at the helm.

It quickly becomes clear that they must first prove their manhood and reconcile with their past...through a 'vampire vulture monster fiend,' that Huey once married.

On November 9, Primary Stages will host 'Leading Ladies,' the organization's 25th Anniversary Benefit Gala, honoring influential women who have contributed to the theater's work over the past 25 years. The event will take place at the Grand Hyatt New York and begins at 6:30pm.

Charles Busch and Julie Halston will host this year's Primary Stages 25th Anniversary Gala Benefit to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (109 East 42nd Street) on Monday, November 9, 2009. This year's 'Leading Ladies' Penny Fuller and Isabel Keating are set to perform and will be joined by Elysabeth Kleinhans, and celebrity guests Allison Janney, Marian Seldes and Elizabeth Wilson in helping Primary Stages celebrate their 25th Anniversary Season.

20 new stage works, including plays by John Patrick Shanley and Daphne Rubin-Vega, will be featured as part of the upcoming fall reading series offered by the LAByrinth Theatre Company and hosted by The Public Theatre. The tenth annual 'Barn Series' will run from October 6-30, and 'Live Nude Plays' will follow from October 31- November 9.
