Musical Mondays Theatre Lab to present a preview of the award winning musical THE FARTISTE, written by Michael Roberts and Charlie Schulman, directed by John Gould Rubin on Thursday, April 14th at 6:30 PM at the Jerry Orbach Theater in the Snapple Theater Center, 210 West 50th Street.

A British drama about people on the fringes of life trying to survive day by day, and an American tale about an extended family looking for love: Wisdom of Obscurity and Paper Dragon are two very different stories about people on both sides of the Atlantic with a desperate need to be recognized, no matter the risks they take or the people they hurt.

THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT, by Stephen Adly Guirgis and starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez, opened last night at the Gerald Schoenfeld Thetare (236 West 45th Street, New York City). The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) (1220 Fifth Avenue), in its all-new exhibition Joel Grey / A New York Life, examines the enduring impact that legendary actor Joel Grey and his adopted city have made on each other. Through rare artifacts from his stage and screen career, objects from his personal collection, and his own photography, MCNY offers a unique look at New York through Grey's eyes as well as a visual retrospective of his career. A private opening night reception will take place this evening, which also happens to be Grey's 79th birthday. It will open to the public tomorrow, and remain on display through Sunday, August 14.

It was announced today that Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director of Manhattan Theatre Club, will be honored with the Lucille Lortel Award for Lifetime Achievement. The award recognizes Meadow's extraordinary accomplishments and dedication to producing and directing new work Off-Broadway for over three decades. The Lucille Lortel Award ceremony will be held Sunday, May 1 at the Jack. H Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 Laguardia Place).
