Malibu Playhouse presents 'The Guys,' by Anne Nelson, a reading tribute to firefighters, tonight, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m., starring Ray Abruzzo (SOPRANOS, TRANSPARENT) and Wendie Malick (HOT IN CLEVELAND), directed by Dan Lauria.

The Deep Dish Theater will conclude its 15-year residency at University Mall with a special presentation of two acclaimed plays in rotating repertory, opening October 2 and playing through November 14.

Single tickets are on sale today for Manhattan Theatre Club's three productions presented as part of the 2015-2016 season at New York City Center - Stage I: Ripcord, the world premiere comedy by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce; Prodigal Son, the world premiere play written and directed by Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley; and the American premiere of Incognito, the new play by Nick Payne, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes.

Palm Beach Dramaworks is pleased to announce casting for its first three productions of the 2015-16 season, which will feature many familiar faces. Individual tickets for the entire season go on sale on Tuesday, September 8. The season opens at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on October 9 with William Inge's Pulitzer Prize- winning Picnic, in which a group of women confront their loneliness when a handsome stranger drifts into their small Kansas town.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director presents DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, an explosive study of alienation and the redemptive power of love by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley (Doubt, Moonstruck). Lissa Moira directs John Talerico and Susan Mitchell*. Twelve performances will be staged at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (bet. 9th and 10th Streets), New York, NY 10003 from September 24 - October 11, 2015.

A tiny village named Killucan set in contemporary Ireland ignites family fueds and past ghosts in an irrepressible production titled Outside Mullingar at Peninsula Players Theatre. John Patrick Shanley's 2014 play flames the deep fires of hearth and heath burning in his four Irish characters: Tony Reilly, and his son, Anthony, and then their next door neighbors, Aoife Muldoon, and her daughter, Rosemary.

Audience members must decide for themselves if a sinister Irish fairy is real or simply a scary manifestation of a lonely girl's psychology in 'Comes a Faery,' the newest play by James McLindon, which will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from October 1 to 24, directed by Shaun Peknic.

An aynredenish -- an obsession -- is worse than a disease, say our Yiddish elders. 'Half Moon Bay' by John Jiler is a drama about a prize-winning Manhattan architect whose sudden fixation on a mysterious waitress sabotages his marriage and his career and causes him to abandon his ideals. Its world premiere, directed by Margarett Perry, will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from October 3 to 25 at New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street.

 Malibu Playhouse presents "The Guys," by Anne Nelson, a reading tribute to firefighters, Friday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m., starring Ray Abruzzo (SOPRANOS, TRANSPARENT) and Wendie Malick (HOT IN CLEVELAND), directed by Dan Lauria. A portion of the proceeds from this benefit for the Playhouse will be donated to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 'The Guys," is the story of an editor and a Fire Chief coming together in the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy to write the eulogies for 8 of the men lost in the rescue.  

Cape Rep Theatre will present the Cape premiere of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn, score by Michael Friedman and lyrics by Ms. Washburn, September 17 through October 18, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm; there is no performance September 20 or 23.  Tickets are $30.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, September 18th. Atlantic Theater Company has announced the final production of its 30th anniversary season, the world premiere of Academy Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Kenneth Lonergan's latest play HOLD ON TO ME DARLING, directed by Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe.

The Attic Theater Company presents John Patrick Shanley's (pictured, left) the dreamer examines his pillow, directed by Laura Braza. The first official revival of the play since its premiere in 1986, the dreamer examines his pillow will play a strictly-limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca) Saturday, July 25th through Saturday, August 15th. The Opening Night is tonight, July 30th at 7 PM.
