New York Stage and Film has announced that its annual Winter Gala will honor star of stage and screen Bill Pullman, whose decades-long career includes starring roles in the blockbuster film Independence Day, While You Were Sleeping and Broadway's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?;  as well as 2-time Tony Award-winner and 11-time nominee Donald Holder, lighting designer of Broadway's The Lion King, The King & I, and the upcoming Fiddler on the Roof revival, among countless others.  The Winter Gala will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The Plaza Hotel (770 Fifth Avenue, New York City).  For more information on New York Stage and Film, please visit http://www.newyorkstageandfilm.org/.

Cape Rep Theatre concludes its 30th Anniversary season with the Tony-winning Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein musical, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, November 5th through December 6th: Wednesdays and  Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2pm, with an additional 2 pm matinee on Saturday, November 28.  There are no performances November 8, 11, 25 or 26.  Tickets are $33-35.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, November 6th. John Turturro, one of the stars of FIVE CORNERS (1987), the American indie film directed by Tony Bill; writer John Patrick Shanley; and actor Kevin Corrigan, who is a fan of the film, will appear in person with a rare revival screening at Museum of the Moving Image tonight, October 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

William Missouri Downs' edgy, existential comedy examines religion, love, politics and the meaning of life in a hilarious standoff between belief and doubt. Directed by Sirena Irwin, The Exit Interview opens on October 9 at the Lounge Theatres in Hollywood.

Knowledge & Nibbles, a popular series that nourishes both mind and body -- lunch at a neighborhood restaurant, followed by a discussion of an upcoming play that provides plenty of food for thought -- returns for a new season at Palm Beach Dramaworks today, October 8, with an intimate look at William Inge's PICNIC. Director William Hayes, cast members, and designers will be on hand to talk about bringing Inge's Pulitzer Prize-winning play to life.

BETC's Outside Mullingar is 'simply terrific: a moving story, beautifully told and impeccably acted,' according to The Denver Post, and audiences seem to agree. With show attendance and demand high, BETC has added two perfomances to the run.

Its world premiere, directed by Margarett Perry, will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from October 3 to 25 at New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street.

The Deep Dish Theater will conclude its 15-year residency at University Mall with a special presentation of two acclaimed plays in rotating repertory, opening tonight, October 2, and playing through November 14.

The Deep Dish Theater Company has slated a number of pre- and post-performance discussions and special events in conjunction with its 15th Season offerings. The theater is presenting Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD and OUTSIDE MULLINGAR by John Patrick Shanley in rotating repertory, October 2 through November 14.

Audience members must decide for themselves if a sinister Irish fairy is real or simply a scary manifestation of a lonely girl's psychology in 'Comes a Faery,' the newest play by James McLindon, which will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from tonight, October 1, through October 24, directed by Shaun Peknic.

Buoyed by the continued success of its eight-year-old program that began with their production of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt in 2007, George Street Playhouse is once again offering a special package for book clubs. This season, the Playhouse is offering two selections: Joe DiPietro's historical drama The Second Mrs. Wilson, onstage November 10-29, and Aaron Posner's tale of a young Jewish artist discovering himself and his talent, My Name is Asher Lev, on stage April 12 - May 1.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director presents DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, an explosive study of alienation and the redemptive power of love by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley (Doubt, Moonstruck). Lissa Moira directs John Talerico and Susan Mitchell*. After having worked together for over 7 years, Stuart Thompson and David Turner are forming a new general management company, Thompson Turner Productions, which will have King Charles III as its first Broadway credit and will continue to be a general management company for Broadway and touring shows.  Thompson will continue to produce under the umbrella of Stuart Thompson Productions.
