The Golden Globe-nominated SHOWTIME comedy series EPISODES has been renewed for a third season. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

Signature Theatre began performances for MEDIEVAL PLAY, written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan, on May 15 in anticipation of a Thursday, June 7 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at the Company's new Frank Gehry-designed home, The Pershing Square Signature Center. Signature Theatre has announced that John Pankow will replace previously announced actor David Pittu (who has left the production due to schedule conflicts) in the world premiere of Kenneth Lonergan's new play MEDIEVAL PLAY, which Lonergan will also direct.

At some point in Roundabout's 46-year history, you've likely experienced a play or musical that has inspired you. BroadwayWorld has learned that Lonny Price will be directing two private readings of David Rhodes comedy, THE ROAD TO SKYE, June 29 and 30.

The new Broadway production of Tom Stoppard's ARCADIA, directed by David Leveaux, opened last night, March 17 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). Tickets for this limited engagement are on sale through Sunday, June 19, 2011.

At a press junket in New York for his upcoming movie The Extra Man, Kevin Kline suggested he may be back on the boards within a year. BWW's Adrienne Onofri attended the junket on Monday, and on behalf of Kline's theater fans asked if he'd be working on stage again anytime soon. 'There's something I might do this season on Broadway,' Kline commented, though he didn't provide further details.

Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.
