BeachLife Festival, which launched its third successful event May 13-15, 2022, was able to help raise over $120,000 for its local and national nonprofit partners

After announcing the all-star headlining talent for the first annual BeachLife Ranch Country & Americana festival last month, the updated lineup includes Ashley McBryde, The Infamous Stringdusters, The White Buffalo, Drive-By Truckers, Maddie & Tae,  Jamestown Revival, Waxahatchee, Pete Yorn, Greensky Bluegrass and more to the three-day weekend.

Earl McGrath was the ultimate ’70s jet setter, an art collector and comic bon vivant, who stumbled into the record business and discovered Daryl Hall and John Oates, and later Jim Carroll, while holding court at his legendary salons in Los Angeles and New York. Atlantic founder Ahmet Ertegun gave Earl his own label, Clean Records, in 1970.

The initial music lineup for BeachLife Ranch includes The Lumineers, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Brandi Carlile, Dierks Bentley, Wilco, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, and a very special performance of Songs Of Waylon Jennings, featuring Shooter Jennings & surprise guests. The full list of music artists is to be announced in the coming weeks.

Perryscope’s current roster of legacy artists includes Pink Floyd, AC/DC, David Bowie, The Police, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Juan Gabriel, and the Woodstock Festival, among others.

Written and produced during the pandemic by Mamas Gun frontman Andy Platts with additional intricate soundscaping from drummer Chris Boot, Cure The Jones was recorded direct to tape with an array of analogue gear at Platts’ home studio in just three days, focussing the soulful energy of the band into a coherent gospel-tinged whole.

Award-winning soul/pop artist Laura Cheadle, who recently inked a worldwide distribution deal with So Bold Entertainment/ Sony Orchard, has announced the release of the second single from her much-anticipated new EP Reverberate (Spring 2022).

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the album, it is being made available for the first time on double LP, as well as an expanded CD format that includes three bonus tracks previously unavailable on the original album release. The album is available on all streaming major platforms for fans to enjoy digitally, for the first time in its history.

Formed in 2009, the current five-piece is Andy Platts (vocals), Terry Lewis (guitar), Dave Oliver (keys), Chris Boot (drums) and Cameron Dawson (bass). Platts has previously worked with Rod Temperton, Brian Jackson and John Oates (of Hall & Oates), and Lewis’ credits include collaborations with Leon Ware, Lewis Taylor and The Impressions.

Acclaimed duo the bird and the bee, singer Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin, have released a new song, “Lifetimes,” in celebration of the 15th anniversary of their 2007 self-titled debut album for Blue Note. The Troubies’ Holidaze show SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN’ TO MOTOWN will open at the Garry Marshall Theatre November 23, 2021. Troubies’ artistic director Matt Walker directs the talented cast of veteran Troubies with some Noubies. The Hollywood Bowl, one of the leading outdoor music venues in the world and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was honored as the winner of Amphitheater of the Decade last night at the 32nd Annual Pollstar Awards at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Written during the Pandemic, Cheadle says that it was important to her to remind herself - and others - that there is always hope, even in the darkest times. That's why the title track, and entire record, effuse a radiant, upbeat vibe that the artist describes as, at times, 'modern disco with powerful vocals.'
