A celebrity roster of actors, athletes and musicians, along with leaders in mental health from across the country, joined WETA Washington, D.C., the flagship public media station in the nation's capital, today to launch WELL BEINGS, a major campaign from public media addressing the health needs of Americans.

Comedians, musicians, artists, photographers and poets are invited to enter 'INSPIRE US,' a new LA Times Festival of Books contest that makes it possible to make the leap from audience to stage at the 19th annual event, which takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13, on the USC campus.

City of Hope Philadelphia celebrates ten years of fondant fun with Let Them Eat Cake: Fantasy Weddings on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 6:00pm at the DoubleTree Hilton (237 Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA). The Ware & Winter Centers of Millersville University have scheduled more than 300 performances for the public in their upcoming September to May season from the '2013 Van Cliburn Silver Medalist Piano Winner, Beatrice Rana' to a new version of 'Irish Christmas in America'. Today, September 20, the sister-Centers plan a huge kickoff event which will preview some of those upcoming performances. More than four dozen performers will perform in the hour and a half show. The evening is emceed and hosted by WGAL's anchor person Kim Lemon.
