The 2014 SUMMER SHORTS FESTIVAL will blend the best of live theatre with a touch of glamour and glitz to create a sleek Miami theatrical event like no other to be staged in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House) from June 12 - July 6.

Fresh from earning his PhD and eager to get on track for tenure, Curt (Carlos Emjay) is paying his dues teaching introductory acting classes at a women's college when Anna (Nicole Finney), a pushy freshman, requests his help preparing for an audition. He critiques her work on Portia from Julius Caesar harshly but she is faces his challenge. This encounter creates a powerful bond between them, and over the next sixteen years they attempt to communicate about their lives, careers, and fraught relationship with one another through Shakespeare.
