Raphael Saadiq received his first Academy Award nomination for co-writing the song Mighty River from Mudbound today.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) will present Tony nominee SHARON McNIGHT and RUBY RIMS with its 2018 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 32nd Annual MAC Awards to be held Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 pm at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.

Sergio Mendes producer, composer, keyboardist and vocalist is one of the most internationally successful and influential Brazilian artists of all time, with 40 albums (many of which went gold or platinum) and three Grammy Awards. In 2012, his Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 LP was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. A feature documentary about him as well as a new album are in the works for 2018.
