Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, opens tonight, February 25, for a run through March 27, 2016.

DODGE CITY, Kan., Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ Governor Sam Brownback, as well as community, state and federal officials, joined Cargill's beef business leaders as they celebrated the opening of a nearly $50 million distribution center at Cargill's Dodge City beef processing facility earlier today. Around them, more than 9,000 feet of conveyor belts weave throughout the building, connecting to a row of towering shelves that stretch the entire height of the building. The shelving holds approximately 133,000, 60-pound, boxes of beefthe equivalent of 17,000 head of cattle. Crane-like devices can be seen in the background, moving boxes in and out of the shelves. Each day, the system stores an average of 40,000 boxes, while simultaneously shipping another 40,000 to Cargill's customers worldwide.

Rehearsals recently began for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's PERICLES directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors. Irish Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director Charlotte Moore and Producing Director Ciaran O'Reilly announced today a memorial celebration honoring the life and legacy of the great Irish playwright Brian Friel this Monday, December 7th, 2015 at 4 PM at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, 261 West 47th Street, New York City.

The Irish Repertory Theatre will honor the life and legacy of the great Irish playwright Brian Friel (January 9, 1929 - October 2, 2015) with a memorial celebration to be held on Monday, December 7th, 2015 at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, 261 West 47th Street, New York City.  Doors will open at 3:30 PM and the celebration will begin at 4:00 PM.   This event is open to the public but attendees must RSVP to friel@irishrep.org and indicate number of attendees.  

Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of twenty-two actors. Pericles marks Mr. Camargo's third Shakespeare title role for Theatre for a New Audience, and the first time not only that Trevor Nunn has directed this play, but the first time he has directed a Shakespeare with a U.S. company.  The production begins previews February 14 and opens February 25 for a scheduled run through March 27 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place.

Nominees for the 2015 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on Thursday, September 24 on @ This Stage Magazine [ThisStage.la]. This year's Ovation Awards ceremony will take place Monday, November 9 at the Ahmanson Theatre at The Music Center. The curtain will rise at7:30pm.

Irish playwright and actress Laoisa Sexton's new play THE PIGEON IN THE TAJ MAHAL has been selected by the Irish Repertory Theatre for inclusion into it's esteemed Fall 2015 New Works Reading Series and will run on Friday, October 2 , 2015 at 3 pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15th Street in Union Square. The reading will be free of cost and open to the public but reservations are requested and strongly advised. Drury Lane has announced the cast and creative team for the regional premiere of the Tony-nominated Peter and the Starcatcher, directed by Jeff Award-winner and Drury Lane Artistic Director William Osetek. Hailed as "astonishing" (The New Yorker) and "an absurdly funny fantastical journey," (Entertainment Weekly), Peter and the Starcatcher answers the question of how Peter Pan became "The Boy Who Never Grew Up." Complete with an all-Chicago cast, a company of twelve actors portray over one hundred characters throughout this captivating coming-of-age tale of one of literature's most beloved stories. Peter and the Starcatcher, with a book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and based on the 2004 play by Rick Elice, runs August 27 - October 18, 2015. Shrunken Shakespeare Company presented the world premiere reading of Chukwudi Iwuji's masterpiece screenplay IRA on June 8th, 2015. The reading was the centerpiece of the SSC 2015 Spring Gala and was directed by Danya Taymor. The Creative Producer was Adam Shulman (Dukes of Hazard: The Beginning, Song One starring Anne Hathaway), host of SSC's Annual Benefit Gala and Staged Reading of at W83 (150 West 83rd Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus).
