The next edition of their three-time Emmy-nominated HBO Family Documentary Special will be Joshua Bell: A YoungArts MasterClass. Filmed in New York City and London, the program features internationally acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell as he mentors, travels, and performs alongside nine talented young string musicians.

The Musical Theater Project, Kent State University and Beck Center for the Arts will present Rodgers and Hart's classic musical comedy 'Babes In Arms' in concert for two performances: Tonight, September 18, at 8pm on Beck Center's Mackey Main Stage and Sunday, September 21, at 2pm at Kent State University's E. Turner Stump Theatre.

Karen Carpenter, a producer, director and teacher, a theater-maker for more than 30 years, has been appointed the interim Artistic Director of the William Inge Center for the Arts and the 34th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival. The Inge Festival is the Official Theater Festival of the State of Kansas, hosted on the campus of Independence Community College, which houses the William Inge archives.

SCARY MUSICAL The Musical will begin previews tonight, September 12 at 8pm; will open today, September 19 at 8pm and run for eight weeks through Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the NoHo Arts Center, 11136 Magnolia Blvd. (at Lankershim) in North Hollywood.

Only John Lahr, she says, 'with his perceptions about the theater, about writers, about poetry, and about people, could have written this book.' John Lahr will discuss his acclaimed biography of Tennessee Williams on Wednesday, September 24, at 6 p.m. at The Players.
