Juilliard Drama announces its 2015-16 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 45th group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard.

59E59 Theaters will welcome The Acting Company to the 2015/2016 5A Season with the US premiere of DESIRE An Evening of Plays Based on Six Stories by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Michael Wilson, DESIRE features new plays written by John Guare, Beth Henley, Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm and Elizabeth Egloff. DESIRE begins performances on Wednesday, September 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 11. Opening Night is Thursday, September 10 at 7 PM. Casting is set for Signature Theatre's world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play Love & Money, directed by Mark Lamos. 

Playwright John Guare recently met with the Press to discuss the Barrington Stage Company production of his adaptation of the classic American comedy HIS GIRL FRIDAY.  Julianne Boyd, the artistic director of BSC will also be directing the production which will be on Barrington Stage's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage from Aug 6-30. Opening night is Wednesday, Aug 12.  Director Julianne Boyd and actors Christopher Innvar and Jane Pfitsch joined Mr. Guare for the Press Conference in which they all took questions.

Genesis Foundation will fund Signature Theatre's innovative Residency Five program, supporting nine playwrights over the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. The current nine Residency Five playwrights are Annie Baker, Martha Clarke, Will Eno, Katori Hall, Quiara Alegria Hudes, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Lisa Kron, Kenneth Lonergan and Regina Taylor.

The American Theatre Wing has just announced new appointments to its Board of Trustees and Advisory Committee, BroadwayWorld has learned.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Dave Thomas Brown, recently of Heathers: The Musical at New World Stages, leads a cast that also includes Wayne Duvall (O Brother Where Art Thou?, Leatherheads), Matt McGrath (Cabaret, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi, 'The Black Donnellys') and Afton C. Williamson ('Nashville,' 'Homeland') will star in Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride, the first production of MCC's 2015-16 Main Stage Season.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced its 2015-2016 Atlantic for Kids season including the world premiere musicals The Velveteen Rabbit and The Pirate La Dee Da.

Atlantic Theater Company presents revivals of Ghost Stories: The Shawl and Prairie du Chien, two haunting short plays by Atlantic co-founder and Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet.
