Asolo Repertory Theatre's Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards will be honored on Saturday, November 21 at Equality Florida's annual Suncoast Celebration.

Signature Theatre just announced a second one-week extension for INCIDENT AT VICHY, by Arthur Miller and directed by Michael Wilson, due to its sold-out run. INCIDENT AT VICHY will now play through Sunday, December 20, 2015 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The awards ceremony for the prestigious Kesselring Prize for Playwriting will be open to the public when the  prize is presented on Sunday, November 22 at 4 pm at the historic National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in NYC.  The Prize will be awarded to Lucas Hnath for his play THE CHRISTIANS, and excerpts from the play will be performed by members of the cast from the play's recent critically-acclaimed NYC debut at Playwrights Horizons, along with portions other works by Mr. Hnath.

Temple Theaters continues its season with satirical drama A Free Man of Color by the award-winning playwright John Guare. Directed by Douglas C. Wager , the production features the new cohort of MFA acting candidates and supported by talented undergraduate students. The ambitious play, a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, runs tonight, November 11-21, 2015 in Temple University's Randall Theater.

Bad Habit Productions continues Season 9: To Face Ourselves with John Guare's 1990 play about the interconnectedness of everyone in the world by a chain of no more than six people. In 2015, the parlor game featuring links with Kevin Bacon feels more relevant.

Broadwayworld.com interviewed Renee Philippi about 'The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry.' Philippi is the writer of the show and she also co-directs it with Eric Nightengale. It will be onstage at HERE in New York City from November 27th to December 13th.

ACT 1 will present an evening of one-act plays for two Wednesday nights in November (right smack in the middle of its eagerly anticipated run of August: Osage County) at Nashville's iconic Darkhorse Theater, 4610 Charlotte Avenue, according to ACT 1 executive director Memory Strong, who this weekend will be holding auditions for her upcoming production of Will Eno's The Flu Season.

The Kesselring Prize for playwriting -- given by the National Arts Club in New York since 1980 -- returns this year following a six-year hiatus with the announcement that Lucas Hnath is the recipient of the 2015 Kesselring Prize. Hnath was submitted by The Actors Theatre of Louisville for his new play The Christians, which debuted there at the Humana Festival and is currently playing off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in NYC. The play is directed by Les Waters.
