The Iridium Jazz Club, located at 1650 Broadway (corner of 51st), will present special March Double Bills featuring two bands on each set at 8 PM and 10 PM.

Saxophonist, composer and arranger, TIM GREEN, is a rising star on the International music scene. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Tim was inspired to pursue music by a family of musicians at the young age of 10. A student at the Manhattan School of Music in 2004, where he studied with world-renowned instructors such as Dick Oatts, Gary Dial, Bob Mintzer and Steve Slagle Green has had the opportunity to perform with various artists such as Roy Hargrove, Mulgrew Miller, Jon Faddis, Christian McBride, Carl Allen, Rodney Whitaker, Hubert Laws, Kenny Burrell, and Patrice Rushen to name a few. http://www.myspace.com/timgreenmusic

The Iridium Jazz Club will present special March double bills- two bands on each set at 8 PM & 10 PM starting March 1st.

According to reports from Variety, Kathy Bates and Whoopi Goldberg will both be a part of the Film Department's 'Earthbound'- also starring Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal.

When a cabaret show is promoted as containing 'an eclectic mix of style and sound,' I generally don't expect to hear 8, count 'em 8, Rodgers and Hart classics, but who am I to question Christian Hoff's good taste in music?  Though never officially announced, Hoff was to star in a proposed Broadway revival of Pal Joey, and though that project has been placed on hold, his one-night gig at The Metropolitan Room this past Monday night, titled 'Exiled,' often seemed like a preview of how he'd play the title role.

A new backstage musical illustrating the journey of four best friends determined to make it out of the Green Room and onto the Broadway Stage. The show features music & lyrics by Chuck Pelletier and book by C. Stephen Foster and Rod Damer. Green Room has direction by Kevin Caravalho, musical direction by Jane Viemeister, and choreography by Terri Taylor. The show features the Songwriter's Guild of America's Award-Winning song 'It's All About Me'. Green Room runs from August 7th - August 29th.
