PETER PAN Extends In Kensington Gardens Thru 9/13, US Tour To Begin May 2010

Peter Pan, who has returned home for the first time in over 100 years with a new production of JM Barrie's 'PETER PAN' being performed in a one million pound purpose-built theatre tent in Kensington Gardens, is so successful that already its run has been extended to the end of the Kensington Gardens season. Due to the triumph that is 'PETER PAN', many of the performances in the current booking period are sold out. The extra performances are from 1 - 13 September and these are now on sale.

As JM Barrie wrote in 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens', 'Standing on the ledge he could see trees far away, which were doubtless the Kensington Gardens, and the moment he saw them he entirely forgot that he was now a little boy in a nightgown, and away he flew, right over the houses into the Gardens.'

The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts presents the classic tale of youth, joy and freedom, Peter Pan. Performances run March 26 - April 11, 2009. All children except one...grow up! Based on J.M. Barrie's tale of the same name, this is the all time favorite musical of Peter - the boy who spent his life in Neverland battling pirates! When he brings the Darling children to Neverland, he finally defeats his foe, Captain Hook, and befriends the Indian princess.

And they brought along all their Broadway-loving friends for another successful and entertaining Broadway Bears auction, presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS! To the thrill of bear and fan-boy alike, the 11th Annual event raised over $127,000! Top winners were 'Cyrano de Bergerac,' 'The Lion King' and 'Spamalot.'

The 11th Annual Broadway Bears auction line-up, presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on February 17 at 7PM, is here! Each year, 'Broadway Bears: A Costumed Teddy Bear Auction' is a much-anticipated BC/EFA event. These specially-designed bears (often using actual material from their respective Broadway productions, and autographed by the stars) raised $130,000 last year. BC/EFA hopes to reach even higher this winter!
