The Playwriting Collective Announces Its 2nd Annual Writers Group

Six talented writers are joining The Playwriting Collective in 2017! Starting in February Alex Rubin, Jeffrey James Keyes, John Carhart, Kate Garfield, Wi-Moto Nyoka, and Katie Fabel will meet for a 6-week period with Artistic Directors Joshua Young and Phillip Christian in an effort to create several new full-length plays. The Playwriting Collective puts the playwright first and cultivates work that is transmedia. This year the participating playwrights will be motivated to indulge their imaginations and tell stories that are armed with all the weapons of modern stagecraft.

The four week limited engagement will be at HERE Arts Center, located at 145 6th Ave. (enter on Dominick, 1 Block South of Spring). This production is a part of SubletSeries@HERE: a curated rental program, which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support.
