Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) announced today that St. Luke's Health System (SLHS) will serve as the 2014-2015 season sponsor. When TUTS' 47th season begins in September 2014, it will mark the sixth consecutive year for St. Luke's as the season sponsor.

Developed by TUTS in 2002, the Tommy Tune Awards honor musical theatre excellence at the high school level, celebrating outstanding student achievement in 15 categories. During the 2013-2014 school year, a team of Houston-based theatre professionals will evaluate the participating high schools' productions and announce the winners at a Tony Awards-style ceremony to be heldApril 16, 2014 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. SPAM - the meat, not the email - has sold over 7 billion cans since its launch in 1937. It has served as the inspiration for comedy shows and earned a place in pop culture with both a museum and a musical bearing its name. Thus, to celebrate the run of Spamalot from May 14 to 26 at Hobby Center, Theatre Under the Stars and Saint Arnold's, along with several other local restaurants, will host a feast, in small bites, centering around the delectable and surprisingly delicious SPAM.

To a crowd of more than 2,500 people, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) declared the winners of TUTS' eleventh annual Tommy Tune Awards on the evening of Tuesday, April 16, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Adding extra excitement to the evening, the award ceremony's namesake and nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune made a special appearance to kick off the show and to present the night's top honor.
