This very special 10th Anniversary of the Irish Film & Television Awards promises to be an unforgettable occasion, celebrating Ireland's outstanding film and television productions in 2012 and reflecting upon a decade of exceptional art, creativity and entertainment in Ireland.

President Obama appeared at a press conference in Ft. Myers, Florida this morning and commented on the tragic shootings which ocurred inside an Aurora, CO movie theater during last night's midnight showing of The Black Knight Rises. The President learned of the tragedy at 5:26 AM ET in a call from his Adviser for Homeland Security, John Brennan.

Spike TV has ordered 10 episodes of 'Full Bounty,' a reality competition series featuring 12 aspiring bounty hunters who risk life and limb to chase down actual fugitives; six episodes of 'Tattoo Nightmares,' a show chronicling people's often-hilarious horror stories behind their awful tattoos and their attempt to have them fixed; and six episodes of 'Rat Bastards,' a series following the adventures of a group of guys in Louisiana who hunt down a nasty invasive species of giant swamp rats that wreak havoc on the Mississippi wetlands.

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) announces the 2011 Season, running from July 11 - 31, 2011. 22 plays and 11 musicals have been chosen. Tickets are $18-15.

Friends of the Drexel, Inc. has purchased the assets of Drexel Theatre, Inc., converting the 1930s Art Deco cinema from a for-profit enterprise into a non-profit organization. According to Richard A. Stoff, founding Chairman of Friends of the Drexel, the purchase strengthens the theatre and secures its future as Columbus' premier arts cinema.
