This year's Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival will launch on Friday 29 September with the announcement of the Open competition winners and a 'cultural crawl' tour of the venues.

San Francisco Opera's production of Richard Strauss'Elektra opens in a new staging by acclaimed English director Keith Warner at the War Memorial Opera House on Saturday, September 9.
