F**KING HIPSTERS! Plays NYMF Today Thru 10/8

'F**king Hipsters!' a new musical comedy with book by Keythe Farley ('Bat Boy: The Musical'), lyrics by Lori Scarlett ('Break Up Notebook') and music by Ms. Scarlett and John Ballinger, receives its world premiere production as part of the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) on tonight at 8:00 pm at the Signature Theatre: Peter Norton Space at 555 W. 42nd St. The production is directed by Two-time Tony Nominee John Carrafa ('Urinetown', 'Love, Valour, Compassion').

BEN CAMERON (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) is the host and creator of BROADWAY SESSIONS at THE MIDTOWN THEATRE at the HA! Comedy Club TC l4 ' (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (Rent) on piano. In addition after the show we open the microphone up to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic from 12:00-2am.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced a full slate of musical productions, a developmental reading series and special events for their eighth annual festival. This year's Festival will begin September 26th and continue through October 16th.

59E59 Presents CLIFFORD CHASE'S WINKIE, Closes 4/10

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes the return of Godlight Theatre Company with the World Premiere adaptation of CLIFFORD CHASE'S WINKIE, adapted by Matt Pelfrey and directed by Joe Tantalo. CLIFFORD CHASE'S WINKIE closes on Sunday, April 10.

WICKED, MAMMA MIA! et al. Set for Broadway in Boise at Morrison Center in 2010-2011

In 1997 the Morrison Center partnered with a Utah-based agency in order to present top-notch entertainment in Boise. Since that time, the Treasure Valley has enjoyed productions such as: Jesus Christ Superstar; the first National tour of Miss Saigon; Annie; Cats; Chicago; Rent; and the international mega hit Mamma Mia!. Other notable events stemming from this collaboration include: David Copperfield; Bill Cosby; Kurt Bestor; and Hal Holbrook's Mark Twain.

William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of the Bard's most joyous comedies, and director Mark Rucker is taking that joy and running with it in South Coast Repertory's moon-drenched production, which runs Jan. 21 through Feb. 20 on the Segerstrom Stage.
