Ready or not, here comes Imelda! Gypsy's long overdue to the West End is a no-holds-barred triumph, with a talented cast led by powerhouse Imelda Staunton, immaculate direction and precise design. It is hard to imagine theatre better than this.

The first production to be seen in London for forty years in a strictly limited season, GYPSY opens at the Savoy Theatre tonight 15 April 2015. Imelda Staunton, who stars as the indomitable Momma Rose in the West End transfer of Jonathan Kent's production of GYPSY, is joined by Lara Pulver and Gemma Sutton, who reprise the roles of Louise and June respectively in the five star Chichester Festival Theatre production, while Peter Davison joins the cast to play Herbie.

Cheek by Jowl and the Pushkin Theatre, Moscow, in a co-production with the Barbican, London, Les Gémeaux/Sceaux/Scène Nationale, and Centro Dramático Nacional, Madrid (INAEM), present MEASURE FOR MEASURE by William Shakespeare, beginning April 15 at the Barbican Centre and moving to the Oxford Playhouse, April 28 - May 2, 2015. Images from rehearsals of the upcoming production of American Buffalo starring Damian Lewis, John Goodman and Tom Sturridge have just been released - check them out below!. The Broadway transfer of The Royal Shakespeare Company's Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2 began previews on March 20, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening set for tonight, April 9, 2015.

After critically acclaimed and sold out engagements at the Royal Shakespeare Company's Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Aldwych Theatre in London, the theatrical event WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 began performances on Broadway on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Opening day will be held on April 9, 2015. The production is directed by Olivier Award nominee Jeremy Herrin, who makes his New York City directing debut. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is coming to Sheffield's Crucible Theatre this May with an up-and-coming leading lady -- Isabella Laughland -- in the role of 'Elizabeth Bennet.'

The Daily Mail writes that URINETOWN's Jonathan Slinger is set to star as 'Willy Wonka' in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, beginning May 2, 2015 for a run through April 2016. He follows Alex Jennings in the role.

After a highly successful reading at Covent Garden's Bates Theatre this past July, the new play The Lady Revealed, will receive another starry reading on Monday, March 16th (3PM) at New Dramatists (424 West 44th Street). Based on the life and works of A.L. Rowse, the reading will feature Bianca Amato, David Hywel-Baynes, Geoffrey Beevers, Patricia Conolly, Anthony Heald, Merritt Janson, T. Ryder Smith, Sam Underwood and Jake McCready. Written by Dr. Andrew B. Harris the reading will be directed by Illana Stein (Associate Director Tamburlaine the Great at Theatre for a New Audience) along with Broadway's Belasco Theatre manager Steffi Wallis working with New Dramatists as producer.
