Randolph) with a sparkling new production, March 8 - March 20, 2016. 42nd STREET will be directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the team who staged the 2001 Tony Award winning Best Revival.

Gypsy is a 1959 musical with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. Gypsy is loosely based on the 1954 memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, and focuses on her mother, Rose, whose name has become synonymous with 'the ultimate show business mother.' It follows the dreams and efforts of Rose to raise two daughters to perform onstage and casts an affectionate eye on the hardships of show business life. The character of Louise is based on Lee, and the character of June is based on Lee's sister, the actress June Havoc.

From Yorktown Stage, Gypsy runs April 24-26, 2015, only one weekend, with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30 pm, a Saturday matinee performance at 1:00 pm and a Sunday matinee performance at 2:00 pm.

After receiving popular & critical acclaim this fall, Fabulous! the high seas musical romp was Off-Broadway's Valentine production on Saturday February 14th and play through Sunday, May 17th at the Write Act Repertory Theatre (Times Square Arts Center, 300 West 43rd Street). Produced by Roy Nevans, John Lant and FABCO Productions in association with Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica, Fabulous! features a book and lyrics by Dan Derby, music by Michael Rheault, original direction by Rick Hamilton, original choreography by Mary Lauren along with musical direction by Ted Arthur. Starlight Theatre employees fanned out across the city yesterday to deliver 2010 Blue Star Award nominations to local high school theatre students and instructors. The good news of nominations in 20 Blue Star Award categories was delivered to high schools throughout the metropolitan area and outlying communities. On Thursday night, May 27, at Starlight, those nominees will find out whether they'll take home this year's top honors.
