Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill celebrated 35 years of acclaimed Off-Broadway plays/musicals and art programming at The Central Park Boathouse last night, May 15 at 6:30 pm.

La Femme Theatre Productions presents the revival of Tennessee William's A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Austin Pendleton. After staging a string of successful co-productions with top Off-Broadway theater companies, La Femme is thrilled to debut its first solo production. Performance run through October 21, 2018 at the St. Clement's (423 West 46th St). A fitting venue for this production, St. Clement's was founded by Tennessee William's cousin, Reverend Sidney Lanier.  Check out photos from opening night below!

The Metropolitan Playhouse and Joe Trentacosta present the World Premiere of Edison's Elephant, a new play by Chris Van Strander & David Koteles, directed by David Elliott as part of the Metropolitan Playhouse Gilded Age Festival (running January 16- 25) The Metropolitan Playhouse is located at 220 East 4th Street. Metropolitan Playhouse, Obie Award winner for exploring American culture through theater, hosts The Gilded Stage Festival, the theater's ninth annual Living Literature Festival of performances inspired by the lives and works of American writers and creators. The Festival is a collection of nine new works by artists and companies from near and far, taking their inspiration from the writings, causes, and lives that defined The Gilded Age.
