The Shubert Theatre box office (255 West 44th) opens Monday, August 24, at 10am for the original musical MEMPHIS. The Shubert Theatre box office will be open Monday through Saturday s from 10am to 8pm, and beginning September 27th, Sundays from noon to 6pm.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) will conclude its 30th Anniversary mainstage season with the New York premiere of VANITIES, a new musical written by Jack Heifner, featuring music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by Judith Ivey. With musical staging by Dan Knechtges, VANITIES will feature Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol and will begin preview performances on Thursday, July 2. Opening night is Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm

The 2009 summer season at Totem Pole takes a delightful turn in its fifth offering. The best selling novel, Tuesdays With Morrie, takes to the stage at the Playhouse July 28th. The play is based on the true-life experiences of acclaimed author and sports columnist, Mitch Albom's weekly visits to his former college professor, Morrie Schwartz.

Dancap Productions Inc. has announced the Canadian Premiere of THE TOXIC AVENGER, an eco-monster musical comedy based on the 1984 Lloyd Kaufman classic cult film. The Canadian production will take place at The Music Hall (998 seats) on Danforth Avenue, currently undergoing renovations to accommodate the show. Mamma Mia star and Tony Award nominee Louise Pitre will star in the production.
