A new season fit for a new stage. After undergoing a cosmetic overhaul-from lobby to stage and beyond-The Ringwald Theatre is thrilled to announce the lineup for its twelfth season.

In honor of Matthew Shepard, 20 years after his murder, The Ringwald presents a four-show engagement of The Laramie Project, a landmark play by Moises Kaufman and Members of the Tectonic Theater Project. Performances begin Friday, September 14 and run through Monday, September 17.

Birmingham Hippodrome co-produced a jam-packed free Hip-Hop festival at the theatre and in the Southside streets (Mon 7 - Sun 13 May). Across a week of festival fun, there were dance competitions, rap battles and family-friendly workshops, plus graffiti and street art - set to the sounds of the festival from live DJs and MCs. Now in its third year, B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival attracted a wide audience of Hip-Hop fans and novices alike from around the world.

For those who celebrate the 'High Holiday' of 4/20, Planet Ant Theater is bringing a special treat - a revival of its original musical comedy Yes Weed Can April 20 - May 12 at Ant Hall. After 10 years in the UK and two West End seasons, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece, Evita, will return to Birmingham Hippodrome as part of a major new International and UK tour from Tues 20 - Sat 24 Mar.

It's the Stephen for the season! The Ringwald Theatre's Sondheim Spring kicks off with a five-week run of Merrily We Roll Along on Friday, February 16th. Merrily-aka the show they were doing in Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird-marked the reunion of legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim with librettist George Furth, who had previously teamed for the Broadway landmark Company-which will keep Sondheim Spring rolling in May.

The Belgrade Theatre has teamed up with Earlsdon Women's Institute and the West Midlands Federation of Women's Institutes to create a number of twiddle muffs , hand muffs with attachments to fiddle with, for their first ever relaxed pantomime performance.
