Cal State Fullerton's production of Shakespeare's comedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor, runs March 11-March 26, 2016 in the Young Theatre on campus. Helmed by director Sarah Ripper, The Merry Wives of Windsor was first published in 1602 and follows the character Falstaff who courts two wealthy married women, sending them identical love letters. When the two women find out about each other's letters, they pretend to respond to Falstaff's advances for their own amusement and to gain revenge.
Fyvush Finkel, 93 year old Broadway veteran, Yiddish Theater star, movie and TV actor was accompanied by his two sons Ian and Elliot Finkel and opened at the Metropolitan Room last night. BroadwayWorld was there, along with many actors, musicians, and comics, who turned out to see the legendary performer take the packed room on an emotional musical journey with some hysterical humor, wonderful singing, and brilliant character acting by Mr. Finkel. Ian Finkel who is billed as the world's greatest xylophonist, more then lives up to that title with his virtuoso exciting style, and along with powerful piano interpretations by Elliot Finkel, the show is a great musical experience.

?The House Theatre of Chicago's Board of Directors announce the 4th annual incarnation of The Secret Soiree, which celebrates the company's continuing commitment to amazing feats of storytelling with a one-night-only stage magic performance from Company Member Dennis Watkins (The Magic Parlour, Death & Harry Houdini). Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of A. R. Gurney's "The Cocktail Hour," a funny and touching, quasi-autobiographical story about a playwright who writes a new play that presents an unflattering picture of his family, on Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. The play will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Hosted by comedian/actor/singer Robert Klein and written by playwright Glen Berger, From Moses to Mostel also featured musical director Frank London and an ensemble of special guests, including The Klezmatics, performing music from Broadway, off-Broadway, Yiddish Theatre and more.
Word for Word opens the company's 2016 season with the work of two powerful contemporary writers, Emma Donoghue and Colm Toibin today. The evening-length performance is entitled Stories by Emma Donoghue and Colm Toibin: 'Night Vision' by Emma Donoghue and 'Silence' by Colm Toibin.
