GROUNDED Opens 2019 For National Theatre Of Parramatta

Buckle up for an exhilarating ride this March! Riverside's National Theatre of Parramatta (NTofP) will present George Brant's powerful psychological thriller, Grounded, from 14th to 23rd March 2019.

Arena Stage Voices Of Now Artists Return From International Trip

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia and the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, sent four Arena Stage Voices of Now (VON) devisers/directors to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for three weeks from January 26-February 17, 2019. The artists worked with three ensembles of young people, two in Croatia and one in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and through workshops and rehearsals, three original plays were created and performed by the ensembles. The U.S. Ambassador to Croatia attended one of the performances featuring the Croatia ensemble's piece, and much to the students' delight, they were featured on the evening news.

Complete Casting Announced For North American Tour Of CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE 90s MUSICAL

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the cult classic film Cruel Intentions, producers have announced the casting for the North American tour of the Off-Broadway smash hit Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical.  Following sold-out runs in Los Angeles and a critically acclaimed, sold-out run in New York City, the new musical - a stage adaptation of Roger Kumble's 1999 cult-hit film, created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin & Roger Kumble - will launch its first national tour at Proctors in Schenectady, NY on March 29, 2019.

Four Chicago Actors Cast In CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE '90s MUSICAL Tour

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the cult classic film Cruel Intentions, producers have announced the casting for the North American tour of the Off-Broadway smash hit CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE '90s MUSICAL. Following sold-out runs in Los Angeles and a critically acclaimed, sold-out run in New York City, the new musical will play Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St) for a limited two week engagement April 2 14, 2019.

BWW Review: ALYS, ALWAYS, Bridge Theatre

Harriet Lane's memorably unsettling 2012 novel, about an overlooked sub-editor who infiltrates the literary elite, has been adapted for stage by Lucinda Coxon. Its combination of psychological thriller and industry satire is decently translated, but a conservative production from Bridge boss Nicholas Hytner (who, astonishingly, is here directing his first ever play by a female writer) makes a middling case for the virtues of a theatrical version.

HBO Asia to Premiere Original Period Drama GRISSE Today

HBO Asia's original period drama GRISSE premieres today, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6 on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners' streaming platforms. The show is the latest programming made available to U.S. subscribers from HBO's international partners and joins the recent critically acclaimed HBO Asia series 'Folklore' and 'Miss Sherlock.'

Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Taye Diggs to Take Part in STILL LAUGH-IN: THE STARS CELEBRATE

The stars align on March 8th, 2019 at Hollywood's Dolby theater for Still LAUGH-IN: The Stars Celebrate, a 50th anniversary tribute to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.  The series, which spanned from 1968-1973, won two Emmy Awards at the helm of its legendary director/producer George Schlatter, who will also be attendance as his groundbreaking series is honored throughout the night.

An Evening Of One Acts: JOAN and WHAT DID THEY SAY Comes to Theatre Unlimited

Catworks Productions is pleased to present the premiere of An Evening of One Acts brought to you by Bernadette Armstrong & Wendy Winter. The evening includes playwright Bernadette Armstrong's JOAN, directed by Collette Rutherford, and WHAT DID THEY SAY by playwright Wendy Winter, directed by Adam Matalon. The two acts will premiere at Theatre Unlimited, March 22 - April 6, 2019.

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) will hold its annual fundraiser on Monday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI. GAMM GALA 34 will honor Steve Durkee with The David Wax Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Arts in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the arts in Rhode Island. This special evening also celebrates The Gamm's first season in its new Warwick home.

MOULIN ROUGE, JAGGED LITTLE PILL & More Earn Nominations for 23rd Annual IRNE Awards

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, which honor the best of the previous year's actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies. Moulin Rouge!, a new musical produced by Global Creatures, and An American in Paris, produced by the Ogunquit Playhouse, led with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively, in the Large Stage Musical Category. The Huntington Theatre led all companies with 31 nominations across seven productions, including 11 for Man in the Ring, the story of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith.
