Due to popular demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co's critically acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' classic THE GLASS MENAGERIE will add four additional weeks of performances, extending through July 28, 2013 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. The production will also play two additional weekly performances on Wednesdays at 8 pm and Saturdays at 3 pm. Co-founders John Stoops, Tim Evans, and Marc Grapey announce the inaugural season of Three Oaks Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that will bring three limited-engagement runs of highly-acclaimed, professional Chicago-based productions and a World Premiere to audiences in Harbor Country, Michigan. Three Oaks Theater Festival is presented in association with Harbor Arts with special thanks to The Pokagon Fund.

The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 120 nominations in 25 categories of Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2013. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 146 productions offered by 65 Non-Equity producing organizations. The judges recommended 54 of those shows, making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Thirty-three theatre companies received nominations.

Mary-Arrchie launches right into its 27th season with Sam Shepard's surreal Geography of a Horse Dreamer this month, followed by a Mary-Arrchie re-imagining of The Glass Menagerie in November. Then we kick off 2013 with Austin Pendleton's riveting Uncle Bob in February 2013 and finish up with a relentless experimental staging of The Brig by Kenneth H. Brown in April and the Silver Anniversary of Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Theatre Festival in August 2013.

Sam Shepard's Geography of a Horse Dreamer will be coming to Angel Island this September! It is directed by Carlo Lorenzo Garcia (Red Light Winter, Our Bad Magnet) and features Simon Ahmed, Bill Daniel, Rudy Galvan, Christopher Meister, Gavin Robinson, Matt Rockwood, Kevin Stark, & Mark Vallarta.
