I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE! at White Plains Performing Arts Center, is a hit!

Easter Monday - a group of Irish nationalists stage a rebellion against the ruling British government in Ireland in an attempt to establish an Irish Republic. Some 1,600 rebels seize prominent buildings in Dublin and clash with British troops on the streets of the capital. Within a week, the insurrection is suppressed and more than 2,000 people are dead or injured. The leaders of the rebellion are executed. A few years later an Irish Free State is established. Yet, over the following century the events of that week and their immediate aftermath have cast a long shadow over Ireland and continue to shape Anglo-Irish relations today.

?Complete casting has been announced for the White Plains Performing Arts Center's upcoming production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change  which will play the New York venue March 18 - 20.

Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, announces the 2016 summer season of musicals and plays Gypsy; Big River; Quartet; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; and the new musical, Judge Jackie:  Disorder in the Court.

Theatre Three announces that the annual return engagement of long-running Theatre Too favorite "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" is being extended through March 6. As previously released, the show-currently in its sixteenth production at Theatre Too-will continue its run through February 14. The following weekend (February 18 through 21), however, will be dark. Regular performances will resume February 25 and continue through March 6.

During the Holiday Season, theatregoers looking to dodge 'fairy dust' and seek for something beyond the shadow of the Ghost of Christmas Future might as well have a Christmas stocking with a hole in it. Occasionally, the 'grownups' might find something like the dark and challenging THE SEAFARER, which played to meager audiences a few years back at Circuit; despite an exceptional cast (Tony Isbell, Jim Palmer, et al) and a fine production, this beautiful little play failed to bring in the audiences (it was one of my favorite theatrical experiences). The result is that PETER PAN, A TUNA CHRISTMAS, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and all their Yuletide ilk pretty much dominate the stages -- and why not? They are delightful experiences, eliciting all the joy and sentimentality one craves as the 25th approaches. However, for those who gag on eggnog, Playhouse on the Square has squeezed out a few performances of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, the 'slice of life' musical with Book and Lyrics by Joe DiPietro and Music by Jimmy Roberts. Ironically, it's Playhouse's 'gift' to those who prefer to leave their Christmas spirit at home.

Poignant, well sung, hilarious evening of relationship truths and foibles. If you can't laugh or relate to 'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' you may not have a pulse.

With rehearsals for the premiere of YOU BET YOUR LIFE! set to start soon, ROLKSA Productions has announced that a fresh young ensemble has been put together to stage and perform the musical at the National Arts Festival later this year.
