I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change the laugh-inducing, award-winning musical comedy about love in the suburbs, is a touching and insightful look at love and relationships. The long-running off-Broadway show played more than 5,000 performances at the Westside Theatre. The witty script and lyrics showcase a dizzying spectrum of male/female relationships as four actor's journey through a hilarious series of vignettes which cleverly explore the trials and tribulations of single life, dating, marriage, loss and heartbreak. This amusing revue pays tribute to the complexities and absurdities of awkward, intimate moments as bad first dates, meeting the parents and family trips.

The production is designed by Lauren Mills (scenery), Jamie Roderick (lighting), and Michelle Humphrey (costumes). Sonja Thorson is production stage manager. Geoff Josselson is casting director.

I Love You... premiered at New Jersey's American Stage Company in 1995, where, in the middle of one early performance, a woman in the audience couldn't help but blurt out, "This is my life!" From that moment on, the creators knew they were on to something. The following season I Love You... moved to New Haven's Long Wharf Theater, and then on August 1, 1996, I Love You... opened off-Broadway at The Westside Theater, where it was hailed as "Entirely winning! A show for real people about real people" by Gannett Newspapers and The Star-Ledger giving the ultimate compliment - "It's 'Seinfeld,' set to music!" The musical has been showcased in more than 250 cities worldwide including London, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Sydney, Seoul, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg. In addition to its enormous success, the Off-Broadway production was the site of 50 marriage proposals.

Performances are Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 1pm and 5:30pm. Tickets, $30 and $35, are available online at www.sharonplayhouse.org and at the Sharon Playhouse Box Office by calling (860) 364-7469.
