This week at Joe's Pub at the Public, May 28 - June 2, featured performers include: The New Yorker, Kim Smith, Freestyle Love Supreme, The Microscopic Septet, Morley, Jeffrey Steele, Sweet Electra, Times Square, NY Funny Songs Festival, Mother Falcon + Tony Trischka, and Sully and the Benevolent Folk. Two of Santa Barbara's longtime nonprofit healthcare providers have joined forces with a shared vision of enhancing cancer care, and nearly 500 community members, donors, local businesses, and celebrities celebrated in style to support the partnership of the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara with Sansum Clinic.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of the acclaimed epic musical GIANTonline and in stores on May 21, 2013. Performance rights for GIANT will be licensed through R&H Theatricals, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein, an Imagem Company. Funny girl JULIE KLAUSNER makes her debut with two evenings of cabaret. Legendary downtown performance artist JOHN KELLY returns to premiere Rebel Songs. The 60s-inspired flight attendant PAM ANN returns for five nights in the Cockpit. R&B superstar Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child fame is one of the stars of 'Fela!' The musical, filled with the exuberant music of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, which opened on April 26 in Los Angeles and runs through May 5, 2013. The musical, produced by Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Stephen and Ruth Hendel, is filled with the exuberant music of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, and will be presented from tonight, April 26 through May 5, 2013.

STREB, New York's Own Action Heroes spring into action with latest edition of their acclaimed, crowd-pleasing show Forces! at SLAM (Streb Lab for Action Mechanics), their Williamsburg playground, tonight, April 4-28, 2013. SLAM is located at 51 North 1st St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

At the conclusion of FELA!, the Afrobeat political awareness musical, now on stage at the Palace Theatre, caskets are carried onto center stage and piled up. On top of the stack of caskets, emblazed with names such as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X and words such as 'freedom,' 'bullying' and 'oppression,' was a vertical box of death entitled, 'Chardon High School.' Yes, FELA! is filled with music, but it is a wrenching tale of genocide, oppression and death, not only in Nigeria, where the show is set, but across the world, including a Cleveland suburb.

Producers Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter, Will & Jada Pinkett Smith and Ruth & Stephen Hendel previously announced that Grammy Award-winning recording artist and former member of Destiny's Child Michelle Williams would star in the national tour of the award-winning Broadway musical Fela!, coming to Miami's Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts from tonight, March 19 - 24.
