Perry-Mansfield has announced the full lineup for their 2017 New Works Festival. The 20th Annual festival, held on June 16 and 17 in Steamboat Springs, CO will develop five new works in partnership with the South Coast Repertory, Primary Stages, Curious Theatre Company, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Tectonic Theater Project.

That's essentially the premise of Benchmark Theatre's thrilling inaugural production of Jennifer Haley's The Nether, which explores the boundaries of where futuristic virtual reality meets roleplay. The 2012 winner of the Susan Blackburn Prize takes a dark look at what society might create in a simulated world without limits. The Nether is a strong regional premiere for Benchmark.

"The Last Romance," written by Joe DiPietro and directed by Christy Montour-Larson, is the ninth annual summer theater fundraiser for Senior Housing Options (SHO), a non-profit organization providing quality affordable housing and services for 500 adults in Colorado.  The production is SHO's major -- and only -- annual fundraiser and builds on the success of past runs such as "The Odd Couple (Female Version)" (2015), "On Golden Pond" (2014), "Steel Magnolias" (2013), and "Driving Miss Daisy" (2012).

10 playwrights. 10 plays. 5 days, give or take. 3 hour production in front of an audience of more than 100.
