The Old Globe has announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015.

Stars of stage and screen, beloved actors from The Old Globe's history, local dignitaries, internationally renowned scholars, andother celebrities came together at The Old Globe for Shakespeare in America on Saturday evening, June 4. This special one-night-only event featured a constellation of luminaries reading selections from Shakespeare and other material, curated and hosted by the gifted writer/director Jeremy McCarter and our country's most eminent Shakespeare scholar, James Shapiro. Old Globe Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein introduced and directed the evening.

Musical Theatre West's (MTW) Reiner Staged Reading Series (RRS) returns in with On the Twentieth Century, Sunday, May 15, 7pm at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Cygnet's tradition of shows performed in rotating rep continues with Noel Coward's HAY FEVER (dir. Rob Lutfy) and THE VORTEX (dir. Sean Murray). These two plays turned Coward into an overnight sensation, one light and madcap, the other dark and shocking. Written at the same time, they represent opposite sides of Coward's talent. San Diego favorite Rosina Reynolds takes on the strong female roles in both these productions. Opening night for both productions is Today, October 3rd at 3 (HAY FEVER) and 8 pm (THE VORTEX).
